“How I Work” is one of my favorite recurring features in Inc Magazine as well as via Lifehacker’s This Is How I Work Series, and recently several sales experts (including  Anthony IannarinoDave Brock and Trish Bertuzzi) participated as well.

Periodically moving forward, we will feature a new B2B sales, marketing or business leader here answering what have become the standard “How I Work” questions.  You can catch up on everyone we’ve featured thus far in the “How I Work” series here.

This week I’m excited to feature Morgan Ingram, manager of sales development for Terminus and also host of The SDR Chronicles, a fantastic video series highlighting inside sales best practices.  Morgan is a proud SEC alum (with time at Auburn and a degree from Georgia), and is also an active motivational speaker and member of the Atlanta business community.

Suffice it to say, Morgan gets stuff done.  Here in his own words is how he does it.

Location: Atlanta, GA

Current computers: Apple Macbook Air

Current mobile devices: iPhone 6 and iPad

What apps/software/tools can’t you live without? LinkedIn, Evernote, Instagram, Spotify, Facebook, Google Calendar, and Buffer. Pretty much all social tools to be honest because that is where the world is heading.

What’s your workspace like? My workspace is very open and I am normally on the move providing value to someone or helping out a rep.

What’s your best time-saving shortcut or lifehack? A-text has been the biggest time-saving shortcut in my entire life. Basically you can write out templates for certain things and do a quick shortcut term and it will spit out the sentences or phrases for you. It is awesome.

What everyday thing are you better at than anybody else? I think the everyday thing that I am better at is consistently reading a book weekly, taking the information and applying it into my life immediately. Reading books have been the foundation of my growth and the reason for my successes thus far.

What’s your favorite to-do list manager? I am the worst at creating a list of things to do daily. However, I have a whiteboard with my quarterly goals on it and if something is urgent that I need to remind myself of I put it into Evernote.

What do you listen to while at work? I love listening to Galantis, Diplo, Skrillex, Marshmello, Zhu, DJ Snake and Dillon Francis. I can only listen to EDM, house music or electronic music when I work.

What are you currently reading? I am currently reading “Top of Mind” by John Hall and reading “Captivate: The Secret to Succeeding with People” by Vanessa Van Edwards

What’s your sleep routine like? I go to bed at 10:00-10:30PM and I try to wake up at 5:30AM. Honestly, this was the hardest switch for me because in college I would go to bed at 2:00AM in the morning.

What’s the best advice you¹ve ever received? Do not think you have ever made it, because in reality you will never really make it. I love this advice because you if you think you have arrived you will cap yourself out on the value that you can bring.

Anything else you want to add? Yes I indeed would like to add something else. Ignore all the external noise that is stopping you from stepping into your greatness. I run into so many people who know exactly what they want to do, however they are waiting for the green light from someone else when they already have given themselves the green light. Stop giving yourself the red light because of someone else and move forward with the green light that you have internally already given yourself.

Fill in the Blank: I¹d love to see BLANK answer these questions. Jeff Bezos
