“How I Work” is one of my favorite recurring features in Inc Magazine as well as via Lifehacker’s This Is How I Work Series, and recently several sales experts (including  Anthony IannarinoDave Brock and Trish Bertuzzi) participated as well.

Periodically moving forward, we will feature a new B2B sales, marketing or business leader here answering what have become the standard “How I Work” questions.  You can catch up on everyone we’ve featured thus far in the “How I Work” series here.

This week I’m thrilled to feature Sierra Summers, director of marketing at People.ai.  Sierra’s successful marketing career has spanned numerous marketing strategy and leadership positions at companies such as SuccessFactors, ANNUITAS and Gigya.  Avid golfer and self-described “amateur dog mom”, Sierra is also a certified Marketo expert and active Salesforce administrator.

Sierra, suffice it to say, gets stuff done.  Here in her own words is how she does it.

Location:  San Francisco

Current computers: Macbook Pro

Current mobile devices: Iphone 6s

What apps/software/tools can’t you live without? Lyft, Slack, Calendar, Marketo, Salesforce, Workato, Wrike – and golf clubs

What’s your workspace like? Open work environment with the best colleagues. We get catered lunch daily and have a fully stocked kitchen. I love the hustle and bustle of SOMA right now – so much going on!

What’s your best time-saving shortcut or lifehack? Write down your to-do list for the day. Focus on urgent priorities that are highly important first then work through the rest. Just because it is important doesn’t necessarily make it urgent. Adam Needles at ANNUITAS taught me this.

What everyday thing are you better at than anybody else? Organization & project management are my strongest traits.

What’s your favorite to-do list manager? We use Jell for daily stand-ups and I love Wrike for project management.

What do you listen to while at work? Spotify – a mixture of Drake, 3rd Eye Blind, The Eagles and Sam Hunt. I like podcasts and audiobooks when commuting

What are you currently reading?   The Hard Thing about Hard Things by Ben Horowitz.

What’s your sleep routine like?  I strive to get at least 6 hours of sleep a night. I’m a night owl but like to chase the sunrise.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? From Jill Rowley – she told me to take every opportunity that comes my way, even if it isn’t the traditional path.

Fill in the Blank: I’d love to see Sangram Vajre answer these questions.
