I truly mourned the passing of Dial2Do, which for years was my on-the-go note taker. So for a while late last year, in the car and otherwise in transit, if I had an idea I had to hope it would stick in my head long enough to eventually get down on paper.
That happened approximately 3 percent of the time.
Now, I just use Dragon Dictation. It’s not as clean, but nearly as fast. It’s an app on my phone, and with one click I leave myself a message. The translation is quick and nearly perfect.
One click later I’ve emailed myself the message.
It’s one more click than I’m sometimes comfortable with when driving, but my ideas-on-the-go safety net is back.
Definitely worth checking out.
